And I'm Back...

I've realized recently that the only reason I do Facebook any more is to let family and close friends know about what is going on with the family.  Yeah... the occasional rant.  Yeah... the yummy food videos and recipes.  Yeah... the dog and cat videos too.  Call me a bit slow, but, I'm getting a little more cautious about what I would like to post on Facebook and what I would like to keep private.  I don't like that I cannot change the settings of past posts either.  I won't be taking down my Facebook, but I plan to start blogging again, and NOT posting stuff about the family any more on Facebook.

This post will not have any pictures - but a quick update on what is going on for the Sousa's...

  • Xavier moved up to Gold Group at the beginning of April in Swimming.  We are working on getting into a new routine of M-F swimming from 5-7 p.m.  Needless to say, our dinner hour has been royally screwed with - but we are figuring out how to eat more responsibly at 7:30 p.m.
  • Quinn has become a little obsessed with Tennis... the kid is good! He and I go out most weekends to play, and he wears me out!
  • Justin and Xavier have been working on a special project for school - a Rube Goldberg Project. When it is complete, I will probably post some pictures or videos!
  • It's spring break and the boys are learning independence... I can't believe next year Xavier goes to HIGH SCHOOL!
  • We began remodeling our bathroom in January - it's still nowhere near done... but, the silver lining is that the "main" bathroom is almost always clean - or at least a certain level of clean - so I don't have to worry about guests using a filthy bathroom.
  • Both Justin and my works are going GREAT! I got a new City Manager at work, so there are a few changes, but all good. Justin is now officially an "SHN" employee as of April 1. He thrives on change, so I've been seeing a lot of positives there! So happy for him. AND for the first time in our lives, we have the first world problem of "too much insurance." I never thought I'd see that day!
So... keep posted for new entries... with photos. We have so much coming up for 2016 - Swim meets, camp, Boy Scout events, etc.

-April
